7th Street Grocery Point of Sale

7th Street Grocery Point of Sale Work

If you’ve ever been to Garnett, KS, you’ve likely come across 7th Street Grocery, a charming, locally-owned store on the west side of town. Known for offering a wide variety of bulk foods and salvaged groceries at discounted prices, it’s a hidden gem for budget-conscious shoppers. However, behind the scenes, the store had a labor-intensive system for handling sales. The staff manually labeled every item with its price and then typed each one into the cash register during checkout. This process made price changes cumbersome and left the owners with no way to track sales trends or inventory efficiently.

We sat down with Weston, the store owner, to explore a solution. After reviewing his needs, we developed a plan to digitize his inventory and integrate barcodes into the store’s point-of-sale (POS) system. Once everything was uploaded, his team was able to streamline the checkout process with barcode scanning, just like major retailers. Now, they can easily access sales reports to see which items are customer favorites, and updating prices is as simple as clicking a button, eliminating the need for time-consuming manual labeling.

It’s not always easy to see the immediate financial impact of bringing in an IT service provider, especially when there’s no obvious spike in revenue. However, the real value lies in the efficiencies gained. IT service providers implement systems that streamline your operations, saving you and your staff significant time on routine tasks. This regained time allows you to focus more on the core aspects of running and growing your business. In the long run, these efficiencies translate into cost savings and a stronger bottom line, as your business becomes more productive and better equipped to handle its daily demands.

John Leavitt Music: Online Store

John Leavitt Music Online Store Upgrade

The thing John Leavitt does best is compose and perform music. He has spent many years in his career developing his musical abilities. After years of teaching he turned his attention to writing and selling music online. This meant he had to find a platform to list and sell his music. Prior to coming to Easdon Technology Solutions, he had worked with an individual to build his WordPress site and his online store. Things worked very well for several years until his online store started to need security updates.

When his site began prompting for a security update, John knew it would be best practice to get this taken care of to protect his data, as well as his customers’ data. He reached back out to the individual who helped him set up his site in the first place but they were busy with other projects and not able to help him as much as he needed. When he found us, we took the time to have conversations with him to find what his needs really were. We developed a plan and presented an estimated timeline and cost to John. After his approval we set out to work and were able to get his site updated and back to fully operational within a couple days.

Whatever your business needs, we are here to help. We are never too busy for you and we don’t just push a cookie cutter solution onto our clients. We take the time to build a relationship with clients and learn their unique needs so we can custom tailor a solution that fits them.

Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce Website

Revamping the Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce Website: A Success Story

At Easdon Technology Solutions, we’re passionate about supporting local businesses, especially those right here in the Garnett Area. When we initially visited the Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce website for some information, we noticed several areas that could use improvement. The site’s design was dated, it lacked security, and the mobile experience was less than optimal.

Recognizing the importance of a well-functioning, secure, and user-friendly website for the Chamber and its members, we were eager to present them with options to enhance their online presence. After thoroughly evaluating their needs, we proposed a complete overhaul of their website using the WordPress CMS.

The new site was designed with a modern, responsive layout that ensures a seamless experience on both desktop and mobile devices. We also addressed security concerns, implementing HTTPS to protect users and eliminate those pesky non-secure warnings. Additionally, by optimizing the site for search engines (SEO), we’ve made it easier for people to find the Garnett Chamber online, driving more traffic and engagement.

Throughout the project, we worked closely with the Chamber team to ensure the new site met all their expectations. We also provided comprehensive training to make sure everyone was comfortable using the new platform.

At Easdon Technology Solutions, our relationship with the Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce doesn’t end with the launch of their new website. We remain just a phone call away, ready to assist with any future needs or updates.

Maybe you have an old website that needs to be optimized or maybe you don’t have a website and need help getting online. We are here to help. Let us at Easdon Technology Solutions help you with all of your online needs so you can focus on what you do best, running your business!
